GENERAL INFO

I am currently accepting students of all ages in and around the Massachusetts Valley.  I have a studio located in Greenfield but am happy to travel to Amherst, Northampton, and the surrounding areas.  I also provide online lessons via Skype.  Online lessons work really well and are a great way to fit a lesson into your schedule!


*GUITAR*
          Electric and Acoustic.  Rhythm and Lead.  Styles range from Blues and Rock, to fingerstyle and
chord melody techniques.  One of my favorite things about teaching is learning along side my students the many different ways that the guitar can function in the music we listen to.


*PERCUSSION*
         Drumset in the following styles:  Rock, Funk Jazz, Pop, Country, R&B.  
         Classical percussion: Snare drum, Crash Cymbols, Tamborine, Triangle, etc.
          Hand drumming:  Djembe, Conga, Bongos


*COMPOSITION/THEORY*
           From writing music driven by vocals and lyrics, to instrumental music, I teach composition with a focus on improvisation, process, and structure.  Music theory has always been a great aid in my own writing and playing.  You can study composition/songwriting by signing up for either "The Program" or for private lessons.  You can study music theory as part of "The Program", in private lessons, or you can just sign up for the weekly theory class.

*STUDIO NOTES*
My home studio is a clean, safe space, equipped with guitars, amps, recording gear, and piano.  We have everything we need here to learn, and even record an album together!
